Meet the Builder Behind Reed Paradigm Tech
Hi, my name is Reed.
I build and analyze systems at the intersection of data, software, hardware, and human behavior to solve real-world problems.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Virginia Tech and a Master’s in Industrial & Organizational Psychology, combining technical systems knowledge with behavioral analysis.
My experience spans data analysis, operational workflows, and structured decision-making within technical and compliance-driven environments, with a focus on improving processes, identifying patterns, and supporting informed decision-making.
My work and projects reflect that intersection:
Data & Behavioral Analysis – Applying statistical analysis, data cleaning, and visualization to identify patterns in behavioral and operational datasets, turning raw data into actionable insights.
Systems, Security & Infrastructure – Building and testing environments using Linux, virtualization, automation, and hardware systems to better understand system behavior, vulnerabilities, and resilience.
Human-Centered Systems (HCI) – Exploring how users interact with systems, focusing on usability, workflow efficiency, and designing processes that align with real human behavior.
In addition to technical work, I’ve supported small businesses and operational teams by analyzing workflows, improving processes, and implementing structured solutions that increase efficiency and clarity.
This portfolio reflects my approach to solving practical problems—combining technical systems, data, and behavioral insight to build solutions that work in real-world environments.
Below are selected projects that reflect that work.

Projects & Case Studies
Academic Insight Chatbot
Built and deployed a chatbot that connects to a custom academic article database, allowing users to summarize, compare, and extract insights using AI and Natural Language Processing. Tools Used: Python, Flask, Azure AI Text Analytics, Azure SQL Database, SpaCy, Heroku, GitHub
Pen -Test Case Study
A hands-on cybersecurity and data analytics project simulating a penetration test, collecting live system metrics, and building interactive Power BI dashboards. Included controlled SSH Hydra testing, automated Python data collection, and data storytelling through visualization. Tools Used: Python, Hydra, Power BI, JSON, SSH, GitHub
Mock Facial Recognition Security System
A gesture-controlled, AI-powered home security system combining facial recognition and hand gesture detection. Built in Python with MediaPipe and OpenCV, containerized in Docker, and synced to a private NextCloud server for secure video storage. Tools Used: Python, MediaPipe, OpenCV, dlib, Docker, NextCloud, Linux
Sentiment Analysis Case Study
A sentiment analysis project exploring how news headlines influence public discourse on Reddit. Built with Python using APIs from NewsAPI and Reddit, the system applies NLP techniques (TextBlob, and custom preprocessing) to detect sentiment shifts, and lag effects. Data is processed and visualized in R and Tableau, with automation scripts scheduled to pull and analyze fresh data.
